Dr. Unick is an Assistant Professor (Research) of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Brown Alpert Medical School and The Miriam Hospital’s Weight Control and Diabetes Research Center. She earned her PhD in exercise physiology from the University of Pittsburgh and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in cardiovascular behavioral medicine at Brown. She has extensive experience developing and delivering behaviorally-based physical activity and weight loss interventions. In addition, much of her research has focused on understanding the role of physical activity in weight control.
