Dr. Justin Ryder, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota Medical School. His research is focused on understanding the underlying mechanisms of how obesity effects chronic disease risk, specifically cardiovascular disease and fatty liver disease. Additionally, his research program is developing and evaluate novel treatments (i.e. pharmacotherapy and surgery) for obese youth in an effort to reduce chronic disease risk (i.e. fatty liver diseases).
