Dr. Scherezade Mama earned her DrPH in Community Health Practice from The University of Texas School of Public Health in 2013. She joined The Pennsylvania State University as an assistant professor of kinesiology and public health sciences in 2015 after completing a postdoctoral fellowship in cancer prevention and health disparities research at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her current research focuses on community-based physical activity promotion in underserved populations, including racial and ethnic minorities, women, rural residents, and cancer survivors.
